Season 1 Episode 24 My Last Day (Season Finale) May 21, 2002 It's June and the interns are one day away from becoming full-fledged residents. They're excited, but there is something else in the air. Carla (Judy Reyes) and Turk (Donald Faison) are arguing about dating other people. Elliot (Sarah Chalke) finally rebels against being everyone's doormat and J.D. (Zach Braff) is just trying to stay out of people's way. Adding to the weirdness is Jordan (Christa Miller), who has returned to get a physical. A new patient, Mr. Bober (Don Perry), has been admitted because he needs his gall bladder removed. He really needs the surgery, but doesn't have the insurance to pay for it. They enlist the help of Dr. Cox, Dr. Wen (Charles Chun) and Jordan. The two doctors agree, but Jordan needs some coaxing. After one of their regular conjugal visits, Cox tells Jordan that although he is still attracted to her, he is in therapy to not be attracted to abrasive and hard women like her. Although she puts up a front, Jordan is very hurt by his comments. When the board meeting convenes, they vote to allow Mr. Bober to have the surgery. Although she helped Mr. Bober get his surgery, Jordan leaves a final bombshell with the group - revealing everyone's secrets about one another. She tells Carla that Dr. Cox is in love with her and Turk has always known about it; the job Dr. Kelso offered to Cox doesn't exist; Elliot still has feelings for J.D.; and the final bomb - she and J.D. slept together. Hurt, confused and angry, each person goes their own separate way.

Season 1 Episode 23 My Hero May 14, 2002 Ben (Brendan Fraser) takes the news of his leukemia diagnosis pretty well. But it's his sister Jordan (Christa Miller) who is having problems dealing with it. Also having a problem is J.D. (Zach Braff), who, unaccustomed to developing close friendships with patients, is not sure what to do. Remarkably, it is Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) who is the voice of reason and compassion. That changes when Ben starts his chemotherapy treatments. Cox said he would stop by and visit, but he is nowhere to be seen. After he and J.D. have a talk, Cox puts aside his own fears and goes to see Ben. The chemotherapy treatments work better than expected and Ben goes into remission. Meanwhile Turk (Donald Faison) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) have their own issues to deal with. Turk is upset because he wasn't chosen to assist on a difficult surgery. It's a serious blow to his ego when he realizes that he isn't the number one intern in the department - "smack your hand until it bleeds" Todd (Robert Maschio) is. Elliot is criticized during rounds by Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) for the 100th time. But this time he gives her a chance to critique his work, anonymously. Instead of writing it herself, she has Carla (Judy Reyes) write the review to give it more of an impact. Carla writes a scathing attack on Dr. Kelso. But the joke is on Elliot when she finds out that no one else was asked to turn in an evaluation.

Season 1 Episode 22 My Occurrence May 7, 2002 Dr. Cox's (John C. McGinley) friend and former brother-in-law Ben Sullivan (Brendan Fraser) is at the hospital to have a two-by-four removed from his hand. Ben is Jordan's brother (Christa Miller), but he sided with Cox in the divorce and they've remained good friends every since. Later, Turk (Donald Faison) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) run into close calls with their patients. Turk almost removes a testicle from the wrong patient and Elliot tells her patient Jill (Nicole Sullivan), who was hospitalized a while ago for a nervous breakdown and exhaustion, that she's pregnant. Unfortunately, she and her fianc? haven't slept together yet. It turns out that the lab switched urine samples, so she really isn't pregnant after all. J.D.'s (Zach Braff) patient unexpectedly turns out to be Ben himself. Ben's hand wound begins to bleed while he, J.D., and Dr. Cox are hanging out at a bar playing pool. This raises a red flag with the doctors. Dr. Cox runs some tests at the hospital the next day. J.D. gets the test results back - it's Leukemia.

Season 1 Episode 11 My Own Personal Jesus December 11, 2001 It's Christmas Eve and the holiday season produces mixed feelings in everyone. J.D. (Zach Braff) is feeling a little down about having to spend the holidays in the hospital and then Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) asks him to videotape the birth of his friend's, The Wheelers, baby. Elliot (Sarah Chalke) is spending her holiday in the free clinic dealing with Meredith, a pregnant young woman. Turk (Donald Faison) is very spiritual, even quoting Bible verses, but eventually he is overwhelmed by all of the sick and injured patients coming into the hospital. With his faith in question, Turk loses all joy for the holiday. Carla (Judy Reyes) tries to cheer him up, but has little success. Dr. Cox is definitely not in the holiday spirit when his ex-wife Jordan Sullivan (Christa Miller) returns to torture him. And his mood gets worse when he finds out that J.D. messed up the videotaping of the Wheelers baby's birth. Further adding to the situation, J.D. later finds out that Dr. Cox and Jordan once had a child of their own that later died. J.D. even makes the janitor (Neil Flynn) angry because he somehow manages to wreck or destroy every Christmas display the janitor had put up. After being on the roof trying to sort things out, Turk suddenly sees a glint of light in the distance. It's the lights from the Christmas tree in the park. He runs to the tree and finds Meredith, the missing pregnant girl, in labor beneath the tree. The rest of the gang joins him just after Meredith gives birth to a boy. In a fantasy scene, the whole group is transformed into a nativity scene - Meredith is Mary holding the Christ child; Turk is Joseph; men with their dogs are shephards with their sheep; Carla and Elliot are angels and J.D. remains in his scrubs. The safe delivery of the baby and the importance the moment restores everyone's faith.
