As we near the two week mark in the 2008 election we have seen more and more expressions of overt hate, bigotry, and racism toward Democratic candidate Barack Obama. These remarks had mainly come from people in the audience at McCain/Palin rallies. It is now becoming common on live television. Pat Buchanan is known for his Republican beliefs and outspoken personality. He has been called out on some of his remarks in the past. Once again he is on the chopping block. During a discussion on Hardball with Chris Matthews about Gen. Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama, Buchanan played the race card by questioning the motives behind Powell's endorsement. Buchanan: Alright, we gotta ask a question, look would Colin Powell be endorsing Obama if he were a white liberal democrat... Walsh: Oh, Pat, I'm really sorry you went there. Look, General Powell Started off by saying it would be electrifying an African American and it is naive Joan to suggest it had nothing to do with his decision. Matthews: He said that if that were his driving motive he would have done it weeks ago because the guy looked African America weeks and months ago. Walsh: And Obama's been courting him. He's been courting him for months. Buchanan: This is why he threw in the whole kitchen sink. A lot fo things are silly and ridiculous. Economics and Supreme courts justices, it's... Walsh: That's not silly... Buchanan: All the motives except for the one everybody is wondering about. Walsh: Which is what? Race, I mean Pat, you know Pat. this is beneath you. Matthews: Why don't you go by what he said? Why do you have to attribute motives to people who don't say those things?

The "Countdown" commentator dissects the "paranoid bleatings" of "pro-America" and "anti-America" against Barack Obama, from Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and Michele Bachmann, among others - even John McCain's own campaign spokesperson. Olbermann also pleaded to McCain to end the hatred in his campaign, and his party. As Olbermann calls it, "dressing up hatred as so-called real Americanism". Original airdate: October 20, 2008

GENERAL POWELL: "Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan". The name of an American hero. A Muslim. For all those who say General Powell endorsed Barack Obama because of race, to any and all of them, by name: George Will, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Pat Buchanan, etc., I too invoke the name of an American hero: Cpl. Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, winner of the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart, a true American Hero, who gave more than John McCain ever did for America. Kareem gave his life for America... A Stryker Brigade Mom writes: "Words can never express how much my heart is breaking for you. My son has been serving with Kareem and was a friend of his. Although I never met your son, I feel like he is a part of my family because he was a friend of my son. Kareem is also a wonderful example of what this country should stand for. A brave young man who loves his country and is willing to fight to protect her. He is a true American hero. Thank you for raising such a wonderful son. You are in my prayers. On a rare Sunday edition of "Hardball with Chris Matthews" - the same day on which retired Republican Gen. Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama for President on "Meet the Press" - right-wing blowhard Pat Buchanan wonders if Powell would have done so "if he were a white liberal Democrat." Matthews was quick to call Buchanan out on trying to figure out Powell's motive. With Joan Walsh from Salon magazine. Original airdate: October 19, 2008.

Part 1 Summary: 10/01/08 Michael and a team of surgeons work to save Rex, but it may already be too late. As Rex tiptoes the line between life and death, he dreams he's on a game show (one that looks a lot like "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire"): "So You Think You Can Be Shane Morasco's Father," hosted by none other than the psychotic Colin McIver! Colin quickly brings Rex up to speed: He has to answer a bunch of questions correctly in order to defeat reigning champ Brody, dressed in his naval uniform and soaking up the audience's love. The prize, of course, is Shane, sitting on a chair above the stage. Colin quickly launches the first question, which Rex answers easily, but soon the questions become more about Rex's crimes in the past than about how well he knows Shane. There are even special guests like Jen Rappaport and her mom, Lindsay! And a mention of how Rex slept with BOTH of them (not at the same time) during the same month. Rex's laundry list of not-so-nice moments gets longer: He blackmailed RJ into giving him Ultraviolet; married Adriana when he was in love with Gigi; blew into town because he was looking to scam Jessica; withheld Tommy McBain's true identity; burned down the community center as part of an insurance scam. But the biggest crime: leaving Gigi without saying goodbye when she was pregnant with Shane. At this point the audience is ready to boo Rex right off the stage. Colin pretty much tells Rex he doesn't have what it takes to be a father -- unless he answers one last question: Which one of these men is your biological father: Bo Buchanan, RJ Gannon, Walter Balsom, David Vickers (the man, not the dog), Mitch Lawrence, Charlie Banks, Cain Rogan, Jackie McNaughton, or Snoop Dogg? Rex clearly doesn't know, so he uses his lifeline to call Roxy. But Roxy gets cut off before she can answer. Rex blurts that Bo is his father (he doesn't really believe that, but he knows he can learn a lot about being a parent from Bo), but Colin's sorry: Hear that sou
