In Italia è andata in onda a partire dal 1980 su televisioni private locali e successivamente trasmessa, a livello nazionale, da Canale 5.La serie narra le storie di due fratelli afroamericani, Arnold e Willis Jackson, rispettivamente di 8 e 13 anni, che vengono adottati da un ricco uomo d'affari, Philip Drummond, che così facendo li toglie dalla miseria di Harlem e li porta a vivere nella ricchezza di Manhattan.
