Moneypenny was the one woman, out of a world of women, who captured the heart of James Bond, and yet never broke through the mans defences and very profound fear of actually winning the girl of his dreams. Moneypenny spoke fluent James Bond, and understood the man to his very being. She could quip with him and out quip him, arouse him with the slightest remark or glance, she had his measure, she was his support, anchor, and fantasy- she was his better half! He always came back to her! This video features Moneypenny as brilliantly and quintessentially played by the one and only Lois Maxwell. From her days with Sean, Moneypenny was ever trying to get James Bond to succumb to her charms. With the appearance of George Lazenby, Moneypenny responded with much euphoria to James new new found promise of a courtship, and then with quiet grace and dignity expressed her eternal love still smouldering for James, if he ever so desired to renew his intentions of romance with her. Back with Sean, she was again forward in her pursuit of him, yet some how showed a resigned realisation that any token from the man himself of adoration was acceptable. With Roger, she seamlessly moved into the role of pseudo-wife, and reliable confidant, and much needed aid. She was the one woman James relied on, and required to make his life run. James also had a more mature air about him- he let Moneypenny know in his own indirectly expressed way, that he, without question, valued her company, and teasing stimulation above anything in this world to keep him with his feet on the ground.
